And our support doesn’t stop there: we remain a trusted resource for every family, guiding and advising long after your puppy leaves our home. Through The K-Nine Coach, we bring that same dedication to obedience training, offering programs designed to strengthen the bond between you and your dog while building confidence and reliability. We use a balanced, customized approach tailored to each dog’s temperament and your family’s goals. Expanding our services, we now offer boarding inside our home, providing a safe, loving environment for dogs while their owners are away. And we’re just getting started—our eyes are on the future as we search for the perfect property just outside of Hampton, Iowa, to build a full boarding and training kennel facility, a space where dogs can grow, learn, and thrive like never before.

On Monday I drove to Iowa and met the Ebonheart Kennel and K-Nine Coaching dogs
And let me tell you the truth about what I saw-
First, I showed up with 3 intact dogs (2 intact males and a girl in heat). We were immediately greeted with wagging tails and kisses.
The dogs were all loose together hanging out in the house, no animosity or any weird vibes from a large group of intact dogs. Just happy goofy dogs all excited to meet new friends. I would have happily taken any of them home!
Gunner (Papillon) - so cute, so small, basically a cat! He literally jumped into my arms and started giving me kisses when I got there. Like a full on leap from the ground into my arms. So sweet. Everything he did was simply adorable! He also loved rubbing on me like a cat! I also couldn't stop picking him up and just giving him all the kisses!! He didn't seem to mind too much
Gosh, I love the lil guy!!
Katness (MAS/Pap) - Very regal and completely unbothered and unphased by anything. Extremely neutral and didn't really care about us. Very biddable and human focused. So well behaved and well trained! Very sweet girl and she was happy to accept pets and treats from me. (She is Cosmic's Cousin - Her mom and his dad are siblings)
Marza (Venom x Athena) - So cute! So sweet, playful, and happy! She immediately asked for belly rubs and started play bowing and playing with the other dogs. She was genuinely a lovely little girl! I think the first thing I said about her was "I want one of these!" She's also a great size!
Athena (Border/Aussie) - I can't say enough good things honestly. She was extremely confident, affectionate and friendly. Play bowing the new dogs and initiating the cutest lil game. She's so sweet and so soft! I'm not the biggest fan of Aussies and I don't personally like blue eyes, but dang thing girl won me over so fast!! She was very biddable and food motivated. She reminds me quite a bit of my favorite border collie female, Wisp! It was so hard not to smile at this sweet girl!
Jocianna (Papillon) - The Matriarch of the house. She was calm, cool and collected. Very tolerant even with the younger dogs pestering her. At one point she curled up in my lap and completely melted my heart

I have several dogs from Ebonheart. I keep going back because they are the perfect mix of intellegence, sass, & sweetness.
With the extensive health testing and how picky they are with the selection of temperment, I know the puppies will be healthy & well rounded.
My first Ebonheart puppy (Taz) turns 12 this summer, he is super healthy and just as spunky as the day he came home.
We have 4 other dogs from Ebonheart and all of them are wonderfully snuggly and super athletic. All around wonderful little fur babies!
I highly recommend the puppies & support from Ebonheart!!!

My significant other and I just brought in our 4 month old adopted Husky mix for a 2 week board & train because he couldn't walk on a leash. He was also extremely scared and nervous when we got him to the point where we couldn't get within at least 5 feet of him.
Amanda worked with him during this time and he acts like a whole new puppy! He gets excited to see me, my significant other finally got to pet him, and he is more enthusiastic about meeting strangers! I still have a lot of training to do on my part but he is walking on a leash with confidence now too!
